Getting to Zipolite is simple. You can either fly into Puerto Escondido International Airport, or fly into Huatulco Airport, and then drive to Zipolite. You can also take a bus from Oaxaca City to Zipolite, or from neighboring towns and cities.

How to get from Puerto Escondido to Zipolite

The cheapest way to get to Zipolite is on the pasajero (taxi truck). You can take it from Mazunte and San Agustinillo.

First, you’ll need to fly into Puerto Escondido Airport. To get from Puerto Escondido Airport to Zipolite, you can take a bus, colectivo (shared van), private transfer, or rent a car and drive. The drive takes about 1.5 hours.

How to get from Huatulco to Zipolite

First, you’ll need to fly into Bahias de Huatulco International Airport. To get from Huatulco Airport to Zipolite, you can take a bus, private transfer, or rent a car and drive. The drive takes about one hour.

How to get from Oaxaca City to Zipolite

The easiest way to make this trip is to rent a car in Oaxaca City and drive Zipolite. The route is about 161 miles (259 km) and the drive takes about 6.5 hours, depending on traffic.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from the Oaxaca City to Pochutla, then transfer to a colectivo to Zipolite Beach. There are two companies that do this route, Eclipse 70 and Líneas Unidas.
